The upcoming film titled “Hershey” is set to begin production in May 2025 and is scheduled for release in 2026. The movie will focus on the life of Milton Hershey, the founder of the Hershey chocolate brand, and his wife, Catherine, often referred to as Kitty. While the Hershey chocolate bar is widely recognized, the film aims to explore the lesser-known aspects of Hershey’s life, including his numerous business failures before establishing his successful chocolate empire.
Directed by Mark Waters, the film will feature actors Finn Wittrock and Alexandra Daddario in the lead roles. The narrative will delve into the origins of Hershey’s chocolate empire and highlight the couple’s commitment to community and education, exemplified by the creation of the Milton Hershey School.
In collaboration with Dandelion Media and various partners, the film seeks to provide an authentic portrayal of Hershey’s legacy, which extends beyond confectionery to encompass significant contributions to education and social welfare. The Hershey Entities, including The Hershey Company and Milton Hershey School, have provided access to their archives to support the film’s accuracy.
