Domino’s Pizza has committed $1 million over three years to No Kid Hungry, the national campaign run by Share Our Strength that focuses on ending childhood hunger in the United States. The pledge will support efforts to expand summer-meal programs at a time when many children lose regular access to school breakfasts and lunches.
Chief executive Russell Weiner announced the partnership after signing No Kid Hungry’s CEO Pledge to End Summer Hunger earlier this year. “Summer can be difficult for kids facing food insecurity,” Weiner said, adding that the company’s goal is to help children “focus on being kids” rather than worrying about where their next meal will come from.
Funding from Domino’s will help local organizations acquire meal trucks, refrigeration, packaging, and other infrastructure needed to deliver food through new USDA initiatives such as Summer EBT (also known as SUN Bucks) and SUN Meals To-Go. The two programs aim to reach as many as 31 million eligible children, vastly expanding coverage beyond the estimated 2.8 million who accessed summer meals under previous rules.
Anne Filipic, chief executive of Share Our Strength, called the corporate donation “a monumental opportunity” to narrow the summer meal gap. Domino’s philanthropic move builds on its existing work with youth nutrition nonprofits, including long-standing support for GENYOUth and partnerships with local hunger-relief groups in more than 30 U.S. cities.
Domino’s and No Kid Hungry will report on progress annually as funds are distributed through 2028, with the first grants expected ahead of the 2026 summer break.
