Donatos Pizza’s Cincinnati area locations are collaborating with the Sam Hubbard Foundation and Crayons to Computers to gather and donate school supplies, hygiene items, and healthy snacks for Cincinnati-area students. This initiative aims to address food insecurity and support students with necessary resources.
The initiative runs from July 1, 2024, to August 31, 2024, across twenty-three Cincinnati-based Donatos Pizza franchise locations. Each location will feature a Sam Hubbard locker for guests to deposit qualifying donation items. Donors will receive a coupon for a free medium 1-topping pizza with the purchase of a large pizza as a token of appreciation.
Donations are categorized by month. In July, the focus will be on personal hygiene products such as deodorant, feminine products, and body wash, along with school supplies like Crayola crayons, washable markers, colored pencils, and correction tape. August donations will include non-perishable healthy snacks such as Goldfish, CLIF Zbars, and bottled water packs. Additionally, individuals who donate at least $3.00 through the designated Donatos QR code will receive the same pizza coupon.
Bill Aseere, a Cincinnati area franchise owner, emphasized the importance of this partnership, noting the significance of supporting children in the community. The initiative aims to provide essential supplies to students in need, thereby contributing to their academic success.
All collected items and proceeds will benefit Cincinnati-area students through Hubbard’s Cupboard schools, ensuring that children have access to necessary resources.
