CLIF Bar has introduced its Caffeinated Collection, a new line of energy bars aimed at enhancing performance through caffeine. This collection includes two flavors: vanilla almond and caramel chocolate chip. The development of these bars involved collaboration with professional athletes, specifically Breanna Stewart and Frances Tiafoe, who provided insights into the needs of active individuals.
Nicolas Henault, Senior Marketing Director at CLIF Bar, stated, “At CLIF BAR, we know that the simple step of getting started is often what takes the most energy. Sometimes, you need that extra boost to get moving on the journey to raise your bar.” The Caffeinated Collection is designed to deliver caffeine and sustained energy, aligning with CLIF Bar’s commitment to quality ingredients.
Each bar contains organic, non-GMO rolled oats and 10 grams of plant-based protein. Additionally, they include approximately 65 mg of organic caffeine, which is comparable to a single espresso shot. Michael De La Cruz, the R&D lead for the collection, emphasized the importance of collaboration with athletes in the creation of these energy bars. He noted that the development process was focused on crafting a product that serves the needs of active individuals. Overall, the Caffeinated Collection aims to provide a functional energy source for those looking to enhance their workout experiences.
