CASETiFY has introduced the Takashi Murakami x CASETiFY: Mr. Dob collection, marking its first artist collaboration for the new CASETiFY Travel line. This collection features fresh designs of Mr. Dob on various tech accessories, including a limited-edition Bounce Carry-On that showcases Murakami’s character. Following the successful launch of the Bounce Carry-On in the US and South Korea in December 2024, this special edition will be available in limited quantities through select distribution channels in South Korea, the USA, Hong Kong SAR, Mainland China, Taiwan, and Japan. The collection highlights Mr. Dob, an avatar created by Murakami in 1993, reflecting the artist’s evolving vision over the years.
Takashi Murakami commented on the collaboration, stating, “Through this collaboration with CASETiFY, I wanted to witness a new world. I’m excited to see Mr. Dob active in people’s daily lives through the medium of phone cases.” The collection is part of the CASETiFY ICONS Collection, which aims to merge cultural influences through premium partnerships that transform everyday accessories into limited-edition items.
The Bounce Carry-On is customizable and comes in three motifs and color options: Cobalt Blue, Cherry Red, and Matte Black. It features CASETiFY’s proprietary fonts and allows for personalization with initials. The collection also introduces a limited white camera ring, a collectible item that diverges from the standard black design.
Innovative three-dimensional AirPods cases featuring Mr. Dob are included, blurring the lines between tech accessories and art. Additionally, the collection features AirPods Max covers and a trading card holder designed for collectors, showcasing Murakami’s vibrant aesthetic. The Mr. Dob Dangler, presented in a blind box format, offers an element of surprise for consumers, allowing them to collect various color combinations.
