Filtrete Brand, recognized as a leading name in residential HVAC air filters, has introduced the Filtrete Refillable Air Filter Kit. This kit aims to address several common issues faced by consumers regarding air filtration. It features a reusable frame that is designed to last for up to 20 years, alongside a collapsible filter that can be used for up to 12 months before requiring a replacement.
The refills provided in this kit are positioned as a more economical option compared to traditional filters. They also offer significant benefits in terms of storage, reducing the required space by approximately 75 percent. Furthermore, the kit is designed to decrease disposable waste by around 20 percent, promoting a more sustainable approach to air filtration.
Filtrete technology is engineered to capture a higher volume of small particles than the minimum requirements set by standard MERV ratings. The Microparticle Performance Rating (MPR) established by 3M aims to enhance air quality. All Filtrete Air Filters are constructed to maintain consistent airflow, which is essential for the efficient operation of HVAC systems and can lead to reduced energy consumption when filters are changed regularly.

Included in the kit are Filtrete MPR 1550 (MERV 12) Refillable Air Filters. These filters are capable of capturing 42 percent more microparticles within the size range of 0.3 to 1 microns compared to the industry standard, effectively filtering out a greater number of allergens, bacteria, and viruses. Additionally, these filters have received certification as Asthma & Allergy Friendly by the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America, further emphasizing their effectiveness in improving indoor air quality.
