Fresco Motors AS, a Norwegian technology firm, recently introduced an update to its electric vehicle, the Fresco XL. This model stands out for its all-electric propulsion system, lacking a traditional internal combustion engine, which promises a quieter, smoother driving experience. Fresco officials, including COO Adrian Kristofer Locklindh and CEO Espen Kvalvik, highlighted the vehicle’s innovative design and advanced features during its unveiling.
The Fresco XL features a highly aerodynamic exterior redesigned to improve air resistance and address icing issues, crucial for the vehicle’s performance in colder regions. Inside, the design focuses on minimalism, with reclinable memory-foam seats and a simplified dashboard that includes only essential displays like the speedometer. This design philosophy aims to provide a clean and focused driving environment.
Technologically, the Fresco XL is equipped with an electric motor on each axle, enhancing its all-wheel-drive capabilities and making it suitable for varied terrains and climates. It also boasts a double-stacked battery pack designed to offer an impressive range of about 1000 kilometers per charge, addressing common concerns about electric vehicle range limitations.
Additionally, Fresco has introduced an optional solar trailer for the Fresco XL, which not only increases storage capacity but also harnesses solar energy, reinforcing the company’s commitment to sustainable solutions.
The vehicle is set to enter mass production through external manufacturing partnerships, while also considering a low-volume production strategy within Norway. This approach underscores Fresco’s commitment to innovation and luxury in the electric vehicle market. The Fresco XL is positioned as a luxury vehicle, aiming to redefine the segment and engage a wide range of stakeholders.
