Future Motion Inc., the maker of Onewheel, has announced the release of the Onewheel GT S-Series Rally Edition, which is the company’s highest-performing board to date. This new model features a factory-upgraded 6-inch motor hub, a performance-oriented tire, and the innovative Recurve Rails for improved control and comfort on rough terrain.

The Recurve Rails, developed with input from the Onewheel Factory Pro Team, incorporate a new asymmetric rail geometry. This design enhances control and leverage without sacrificing clearance, making it suitable for rugged terrain and steep gradients. The Onewheel GT S-Series uses sensors to maintain balance and stability, with riders controlling speed and direction through leaning motions.

Kyle Doerksen, CEO of Future Motion and the inventor of Onewheel, highlighted the advanced capabilities of the new model. He noted that the Onewheel GT S-Series with Recurve Rails sets a higher standard for comfort and control, enabling riders to tackle mountain bike terrain and single track trails with ease.

The Onewheel GT S-Series Rally Edition is priced at $3,500 and is the first board to ship with asymmetric rails. A standard version with a 6.5″ motor hub will be available for $3,200. Existing GT S-Series owners can upgrade their boards with Recurve Rails through a factory service replacement for $450, including shipping and installation.

In conjunction with the launch, Future Motion has also announced a $300 price reduction on the original GT S-Series, now available for $2,900. Jack Mudd, Director of Marketing, explained that the company is passing savings to customers due to the mass production of the S-Series.

Future Motion’s product lineup includes various models such as the Onewheel Pint, Pint X, Onewheel GT, and Onewheel GT S-Series, each offering unique performance capabilities and features.
