Gustus Vitae, a California-based spice maker known for small-batch blends, is entering a new aisle segment with Kid’s Menu, a six-product line designed for children and selective eaters. The launch introduces what the company calls the first gourmet seasonings formulated specifically for family use, featuring milder profiles, reduced sodium, and no added heat.
The lineup covers common kid favorites: Chicken Tendies & Fries, Beef Burgers Tacos & Meatballs, Italian Pasta & Pizza, Butter & House Favorite Spices, Veggie All-Purpose Seasoning, and an Instant Dip/Dressing mix that can be stirred into yogurt or mayonnaise. Each blend is free of MSG, nuts, soy, wheat, and gluten, and is produced without irradiation or ethylene oxide treatment. Gustus Vitae says the products contain significantly less sodium than conventional seasoning mixes and align with current GLP-1–oriented nutrition trends.
Founder Francis Scanlon said the range aims to remove the nightly guesswork of preparing separate meals. “Families shouldn’t have to choose between flavor for adults and safe options for kids,” he noted, adding that the brand wants to help build healthy eating habits from childhood.
Kid’s Menu seasonings are hand-packed in recyclable tins and are available now through the company’s website and select independent retailers. Suggested retail pricing was not disclosed, but other Gustus Vitae products typically range between six and eight dollars per tin. The brand plans broader grocery distribution later this year if initial demand meets expectations.
