H2O Audio, a company recognized for its high-performance sport headphones, has established a multi-year partnership with two prominent Belgian cycling teams, Alpecin-Deceuninck and Fenix-Deceuninck. This collaboration is set to commence at the 2025 Paris-Roubaix event, where H2O Audio will serve as the Official Audio Partner for both men’s and women’s teams across various cycling disciplines, including road racing, cyclocross, gravel, Zwift racing, and mountain biking.
As part of this partnership, H2O Audio will provide athletes with its advanced headphones, including the TRI 2 Pro and RIPT ULTRA models, which are designed to enhance focus and performance during training and competition. The athletes will utilize these headphones for a range of activities such as pre-race warm-ups, training sessions, travel, and recovery.
H2O Audio’s role as the exclusive Audio Partner means that all team riders will be equipped with the brand’s headphones, which are engineered to deliver high-quality sound in demanding conditions. Kristian Rauhala, the founder and CEO of H2O Audio, stated, “Designed by athletes for athletes, our mission has always been to ‘Go Beyond’ – to empower athletes by delivering the power of music into any environment—from below water to above and beyond.” This partnership aims to provide real-time feedback from the teams, facilitating ongoing innovation in audio technology.
The cycling teams will utilize a variety of H2O Audio products throughout the season, including the flagship TRI 2 Pro, which features a waterproof design and bone conduction technology that promotes safety and spatial awareness. The RIPT ULTRA headphones, known for their sweatproof and noise-canceling capabilities, will also be employed to help athletes maintain focus during critical moments.
Notable riders such as Mathieu van der Poel, Kaden Groves, Puck Pieterse, and Christina Schweinberger are expected to integrate H2O Audio products into their training regimens, particularly for time trials and intense training sessions. Philip Roodhooft, the team manager, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, noting that H2O Audio’s technology provides an additional resource for athletes to enhance their performance.
The agreement also includes collaborative efforts between H2O Audio and the teams to gather feedback that will inform future product development. Furthermore, H2O Audio will gain exposure through team vehicles and websites and will have marketing rights to team imagery and athlete likenesses.
The partnership will feature ongoing initiatives such as behind-the-scenes content, seasonal promotions, curated playlists, and fan engagement activities, including giveaways and contests. Through this collaboration, H2O Audio aims to innovate and empower athletes while enhancing the overall experience for both riders and fans, solidifying its position in the competitive cycling landscape.
