Hill’s Pet Nutrition has introduced ActivBiome+ Multi-Benefit technology to its Hill’s Science Diet line of adult and senior dry dog and cat foods. The update is aimed at supporting digestion, immune function, and organ health with a blend of prebiotic fibers and antioxidants.
The company says the new formulation reflects more than a decade of microbiome research and brings the latest gut health science to its pet food products. “We believe the future of pet health lies in harnessing the power of the gut microbiome,” said Dr. Chelsie Estey, US Chief Veterinary Officer at Hill’s.
ActivBiome+ Multi-Benefit is designed to meet pet parents’ top concerns, which, according to a 2022 Hill’s study, include digestive health, organ function, immune system support, and high-quality protein. The prebiotic blend in the new formula aims to promote healthy stools, nutrient absorption, and overall comfort, while antioxidants help maintain a strong immune system and support vital organs.
The technology is being integrated across adult and senior Science Diet formulas. Hill’s says these updates continue its focus on lifestage nutrition backed by research. “With Hill’s, [pet parents] are feeding their pet a product tailored to their lifestage that is backed by science and packed with nutrition,” said Carrick Massey, US Senior Vice President of Marketing.
The updated Science Diet products with ActivBiome+ Multi-Benefit are now available nationwide.
