Hookii, a leader in AI service robots, has announced the upcoming launch of the Neomow X, a robotic lawn mower designed to enhance efficiency, convenience, and eco-friendliness in lawn care. The Neomow X, which secured significant funding on Kickstarter and debuted at Spoga-Gafa 2024, will be officially launched in July.

The Neomow X recently received the Plus X Award 2024 for Innovation, High Quality, Design, Ease of Use, and Functionality. It stands out as the first in the industry to utilize a 3D LiDAR SLAM + Vision Fusion system, earning top recognition in the smart lawnmower category.

Traditional robotic lawn mowers often rely on RTK base stations and UWB signal poles for boundary delineation, which can be complex and time-consuming for users to learn. These mowers also tend to lose signals under tree canopies or near tall structures, halting operation until signals are restored. Hookii’s LiDAR SLAM technology addresses these issues by integrating mapping, localization, and obstacle avoidance, eliminating the need for pole installation and wiring. Its stable, obstruction-independent signals ensure a seamless, hands-off user experience.

Through the Neomow X app, users can easily create virtual boundaries, designate no-go zones, and plot mowing paths. After setting the mowing mode and schedule, Neomow X operates autonomously to maintain the lawn.

The obstacle avoidance system of Neomow X includes 360-degree FOV laser radar, 70-degree vision recognition, and 144-degree physical bumper protection, allowing it to maneuver around obstacles efficiently.

Ricky Liu, CEO of Hookii, stated, “With innovative technologies and a user-centric product development strategy, we are providing the market with smarter robotic lawn mowers, leveraging three core technologies: navigation and perception, hardware architecture, and application development. Hookii has been dedicated to developing these technologies for years, setting new standards in lawn care.”
