Hostess has launched a new campaign, Hostess Joy Drops, to encourage consumers to find joy-filled moments this summer. Starting today and running through July 2, people can nominate themselves or others with the name Joy in their first, middle, or last name to receive a special package designed to create a moment of carefree joy.
In partnership with DroneUp, Hostess will select 100 winners to receive a Joy Drop filled with popular Hostess snacks and summer-themed swag. The packages will include treats like Donettes mini donuts and crème-filled Twinkies, as well as reusable water balloons and other fun toys and games. Drone deliveries will be available in select cities across Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Texas, Utah, and Virginia, while other Joy Drops will be delivered by mail.
Chris Balach, Vice President of Marketing for Sweet Baked Snacks at The J.M. Smucker Co., expressed excitement about the campaign, emphasizing the brand’s commitment to helping families create joyful moments of togetherness. Greg James, Vice President of Business Development at DroneUp, highlighted the collaboration’s innovative approach to delivering joy faster than ever.
A recent survey conducted by Talker Research and commissioned by Hostess found that 34% of U.S. millennial parents believe their families need joyful moments most during the summer break, followed by winter months (18%) and the holiday break (15%). The survey also revealed that 91% of parents believe finding everyday moments of joy positively impacts their own and their children’s wellbeing, and 89% have tried to make daily life more fun at home.
