Infinix has introduced its AI Buds through a global crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo, combining real-time translation in 162 languages with premium audio features. Leveraging the company’s proprietary CogLabs AI engine, the earbuds offer two translation modes: Conversation Translation for turn-by-turn dialogue and Real-Time Interpretation for simultaneous translation of speeches or streamed audio. A built-in speech-to-text transcription function also captures lectures and meetings in written form.
Encased in a transparent charging case, the AI Buds integrate an interactive touchscreen that displays time and battery levels and lets users control playback, adjust volume and toggle noise cancellation without reaching for a smartphone. The earbuds themselves employ hybrid active noise cancellation (ANC) to reduce up to 45 dB of ambient noise, while environmental noise cancellation (ENC) paired with dual microphones ensures clear call quality even in busy surroundings.
Battery life extends up to 36 hours of playback with ANC off, or 25 hours when noise cancellation is active, making the buds suitable for long flights, business travel and extended use. An over-the-air update scheduled after launch will introduce Folax, a smart AI voice assistant activated by “Hi Folax,” enabling hands-free control over music, weather queries and translation tasks.
Early-bird pledges for the Infinix AI Buds start at $79 on the Indiegogo page, granting backers priority access to this new audio offering. Following the crowdfunding period, Infinix plans to announce broader retail availability. Interested backers can visit the Indiegogo campaign to subscribe for updates and secure pre-order pricing.
