INMOTION has introduced the V6 electric unicycle, a 26.5-pound model aimed at short commutes, campus travel, and recreational rides. The single-wheel device runs on a 500-watt motor (1,000-watt peak) and reaches 16 mph, with a rated range of about 19 miles on a single charge. A 3-inch-wide vacuum tire and an 18-degree climbing capability are intended to help riders tackle typical urban gradients.
The V6 is the company’s first model positioned squarely for mainstream buyers. Priced at 449 dollars, it undercuts heavier performance-oriented unicycles while carrying several of the same safety features. The model has passed UL electrical-system certification for the United States and carries an IPX5 rating for splash resistance, allowing use in light rain. Integrated front and rear lights boost visibility, while a small onboard speaker lets users add music or alerts.
INMOTION showed the V6 at the recent Electrify Expo in Los Angeles, where company representatives said nearly 1,000 attendees tried the product during the two-day event. Product manager statements emphasized stability and ease of use, noting the company’s goal of drawing first-time riders into the electric-unicycle category.
The launch extends INMOTION’s portfolio of personal electric vehicles, which ranges from performance scooters to high-power unicycles. Initial sales begin this month through the firm’s website and select U.S. retailers.
