iRobot Corp., a prominent player in the consumer robotics market, has announced the release of a new collection of Roomba vacuums and 2-in-1 mop and vacuum units, which incorporate advanced technological features. These innovations include systems designed for debris compaction and dual-spinning mop pads that can extend and retract to address tough cleaning tasks.

This new lineup, which represents the most extensive range of products in the company’s 35-year history, boasts an enhanced design and upgraded Roomba Home app, aimed at providing users with more intuitive control.

Gary Cohen, the CEO of iRobot, remarked, “The launch of these robots represents more than the consistent progress of our exceptional innovation team. They underscore the return of iRobot as the category creator and our leadership position that was established more than three decades ago.” The company has recently revamped its Research & Development Labs, leading to the development of these new robotic models.

The new Roomba models feature increased suction power, improved navigation capabilities, and fast mapping through ClearView Lidar Navigation. Some models also include PrecisionVision AI Technology, automatic carpet detection, and object sensing features.

The 2025 product lineup, which will be available in North America and select European markets starting March 18, includes several models such as the Roomba 105 Vac Robot series, the Roomba 205 DustCompactor Vac Robot, and the Roomba Plus 505 Combo Robot with AutoWash Dock. These robots are designed to provide enhanced cleaning performance, including features like intense suction, deep scrubbing, and self-cleaning capabilities.

The new robots are designed with modern aesthetics, incorporating warm colors and materials intended to blend seamlessly into home environments. Insun Hong, Director of Industrial Design at iRobot, commented on the design, stating, “The products’ appearance is warm and approachable. They will look completely organic within everyone’s home aesthetic or décor.”

Alongside the product launch, iRobot will initiate a marketing campaign featuring the tagline “Roomba. Made for This,” which will be presented across various media platforms. The new packaging will highlight key features of the robots, enhancing their visibility in retail settings.

Pre-orders for the new Roomba robots will begin on March 18, 2025, with retail availability starting on March 23, 2025. For more information, consumers can visit iRobot’s official website.
