Johnnie Walker has introduced its 2025 Lunar New Year Limited Edition design for Johnnie Walker Blue Label, created by acclaimed Asian-American artist James Jean. This year’s design celebrates the Year of the Snake, symbolizing renewal, growth, and progression, aligning with the core values of the Johnnie Walker brand.
The artwork features three snakes, representing wisdom, intelligence, and intuition, surrounded by blooming flowers to signify transformation and self-reinvention. Jean’s design draws inspiration from traditional Chinese scroll paintings, Japanese woodblock prints, and Renaissance-style portraiture, blending these elements with a modern interpretation of the Zodiac animal.
The Lunar New Year Blue Label bottle continues a 13-year tradition of limited-edition designs that have become a part of many Lunar New Year celebrations worldwide. Josh Dean, Vice President of Johnnie Walker, highlighted the significance of these releases in fostering connections during the season’s festivities.
In addition to the Blue Label, Jean also created designs for the Lunar New Year edition of John Walker & Sons XR 21 Year Old. Both bottles will be available in select markets globally.
