Jones Soda Co. has announced a charitable partnership with Folds of Honor, a nonprofit organization that provides educational scholarships to the spouses and children of fallen or disabled U.S. service members and first responders. The partnership will begin with Jones Soda donating 50% of the profits from all sales of a special 4th of July red, white, and blue 12-pack. This pack features the Folds of Honor’s folded flag symbol on Jones’ 12 oz bottle labels.
The 12-pack includes four bottles each of Jones’ Strawberry Lime, Cream Soda, and Berry Lemonade flavors. It is available for purchase on the Jones Soda website, with orders placed by June 25th expected to arrive in time for 4th of July celebrations. The pack will continue to be sold online and is planned to expand to retail channels next year.
Jones Soda will also extend the partnership to its Jones+ Caffeine energy line this summer. The Jones+ line, which will be co-branded with Folds of Honor marks, adds 160mg of caffeine per 16 oz can to Jones’ cane sugar soda flavors. This product, available in Green Apple, Berry Lemonade, MF Grape, and Cola flavors, will be distributed across various retail channels, including military, convenience, grocery, and mass markets.
David Knight, CEO of Jones Soda, highlighted the importance of supporting military veterans and first responders, noting that 91% of funds donated to Folds of Honor go directly to scholarships. He described the promotions as the beginning of a long-term partnership aimed at making a significant impact on the lives of scholarship recipients.
Lt Col Dan Rooney, founder and CEO of Folds of Honor, expressed gratitude to Jones Soda and its customers for their support. He emphasized that the partnership would enhance their ability to fund scholarships and increase visibility among consumers, thereby raising funds and awareness for their mission.
