JustFoodForDogs and Pizzana are partnering on Pup Pizza, a special edition fresh pizza for dogs that joins Pizzana menus on August 26, timed to National Dog Day. The collaboration pairs the vet-recommended fresh dog food brand with the California-founded pizzeria to offer a dog-friendly take on a family staple.

Developed with the JustFoodForDogs nutrition team, the 3.5-inch Pup Pizza is built on a simple flour-and-water dough. A pumpkin and peanut butter blend stands in for tomato sauce, potato cubes substitute for cheese, and JustFoodForDogs single-ingredient Pork Treats serve as a pepperoni alternative. The companies say all ingredients were reviewed for canine consumption and taste tested with dogs.

“Pizza night is a beloved family ritual,” said Natalie Lykins, brand partnerships manager at JustFoodForDogs, adding that the goal was a healthy way for dogs to join in. Pizzana founder Candace Nelson said the item combines the restaurant’s Neapolitan tradition with JustFoodForDogs’ nutritional expertise so pets can share the occasion.

The launch marks a new partnership between the brands, with Pup Pizza positioned as an original fresh pizza for dogs and offered for a limited time at Pizzana locations.
