These refrigerated, pour-and-bake batters are designed to simplify the baking process by eliminating the need for measuring or mixing. The line includes three varieties: Chocolate Brownie, Vanilla Cupcake, and Chocolate Cupcake.
Krusteaz Batters are aimed at consumers looking for an easier way to enjoy scratch-like baking without the traditional preparation steps. The batters can be stored in the refrigerator for up to seven days after opening, allowing for flexible portioning depending on the occasion. Whether baking a few cupcakes or a full pan of brownies, Krusteaz Batters are designed to provide convenience while maintaining the quality the brand is known for.
Andy Heily, President & CEO of The Krusteaz Company, emphasized that the launch of Krusteaz Batters continues the company’s legacy of innovation and high-quality baking products. He noted that the new product line offers ease of use while delivering the same taste and texture as traditional scratch baking.
The three varieties include:
- Chocolate Brownie Batter: Produces rich, fudgy brownies with a scratch-like taste. Each pouch can make an 8×8 pan of brownies or be used for smaller portions.
- Chocolate Cupcake Batter: Delivers moist, fluffy cupcakes or a 9-inch cake with a scratch-like quality. One pouch can make up to 8 cupcakes.
- Vanilla Cupcake Batter: Provides light, fluffy cupcakes with a sweet vanilla flavor. This variety can also make up to 8 cupcakes or a 9-inch cake.
Krusteaz Batters contain no artificial colors or preservatives and are available in the refrigerated dough section at Kroger and other Kroger-affiliated supermarkets. The product has a suggested retail price of $6.99, with plans for broader retail availability later this year.
