Laws Whiskey House has been named the Official Whiskey of CU Athletics, marking a significant milestone for both organizations. This partnership is notable as Laws is the first spirit brand to receive this designation with CU Athletics. As an official sponsor, Laws Whiskey House will enhance the game-day experience with its award-winning Colorado whiskies. The collaboration is celebrated with the release of Ralphie’s Reserve Straight Bourbon, benefiting the Ralphie Live Mascot Program, and an upcoming whiskey that will support the 5430 Alliance, which aids all sports and student-athletes at The University of Colorado.
Al Laws, Founder and CEO of Laws Whiskey House, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, highlighting the opportunity to introduce fans and visitors to their Colorado-crafted whiskeys. Laws Whiskey House, founded in Denver in 2011, uses local Colorado grains and water from Eldorado Springs. The high elevation of Denver uniquely ages their whiskey, resulting in rich and bold flavors that reflect Colorado’s spirit and culture.
Rick George, Colorado Athletic Director, welcomed Laws Whiskey House as CU Athletics’ first official spirit partner. He emphasized that Ralphie’s Reserve Straight Bourbon would benefit the Ralphie Live Mascot Program, which supports CU Athletics’ live buffalo mascots and promotes community outreach and education about the American Bison.
Ralphie’s Reserve Straight Bourbon, crafted from heirloom Colorado grain and water from Eldorado Springs, features aromas of red apple and cinnamon, with flavors of brown sugar oatmeal, almond, and cedar, and a clean toffee finish. A portion of the proceeds from each bottle supports the Ralphie Live Mascot Program.
The partnership between Laws Whiskey House and CU Athletics is managed by Buffalo Sports Properties, the local Learfield team dedicated to powering college athletics.
