McDonald’s is introducing the limited-edition Grandma McFlurry starting May 21. This new McFlurry is designed to evoke cherished memories with grandmothers, featuring a blend of creamy vanilla soft serve, sweet syrup, and chopped, crunchy candy pieces. The treat aims to capture the nostalgic feeling of enjoying special moments with grandma.
Tariq Hassan, Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer at McDonald’s, highlighted the cultural influence of grandmothers, noting their inspiration in various trends, including food. He expressed excitement about offering a dessert that honors grandmothers and provides fans with a trip down memory lane.
In addition to the new McFlurry, McDonald’s is enhancing the celebration by partnering with artists Remi Wolf and Jay Wheeler to remake classic songs. Remi Wolf will cover “How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved by You),” while Jay Wheeler will offer a new take on “Piel Canela.” These songs will be available on all music platforms starting May 21.
To promote the Grandma McFlurry, McDonald’s is launching Grandma’s McFlurry Mobile, an ice cream truck offering free samples of the new dessert before its restaurant debut. The truck will travel around New York City on May 17 and 18, visiting locations such as senior centers and assisted living homes. This initiative aims to create more moments of connection between grandparents and their families.
The Grandma McFlurry will be available for a limited time, offering a sweet treat to enjoy with grandmothers or grandmother figures.
