During the holiday season, Mickey Mouse participated in the Disney Ultimate Toy Drive, embarking on a global journey aimed at delivering toys to children in need. This initiative involved visits to various locations, including schools, hospitals, and nonprofit organizations associated with Disney.
In New York City, Mickey collaborated with Disney VoluntEARS at the Disney Store in Times Square to gather and pack toys. He also made appearances at ESPN’s “First Take” and the new Disney office at 7 Hudson Square to collect additional toys with the support of Marines from the Marine Toys for Tots program. In Brevard County, Florida, Mickey and crew members from Disney Cruise Line visited Endeavour Elementary School to distribute gifts and games to local families.
Mickey’s journey continued in Nassau, The Bahamas, where he visited Albury Sayle Primary School, delivering gifts to students and teachers. In Paris, France, he spread holiday cheer at Parisian Hospital Trousseau, while Disney VoluntEARS in Disneyland Paris wrapped over 7,000 gifts for hospitals across France.
In Hong Kong, Mickey joined 100 Disney VoluntEARS at Hong Kong Disneyland to provide toys to children from underserved communities. He worked with Disney VoluntEARS and cast members in Shanghai to prepare themed toys and greeting cards for over 900 children at Fudan Children’s Hospital, who would be spending the Chinese New Year away from home.
Mickey also participated in toy collection efforts for Make-A-Wish Japan at Tokyo Disneyland. In Sydney, Australia, he visited Disney Cruise Line team members to deliver toys to Sydney Children’s Hospital Randwick and The Children’s Hospital Westmead. In O’ahu, Hawaii, he shared holiday cheer with children and their families at Kapi’olani Medical Center for Women & Children.
Mickey concluded his journey in Anaheim, California, where he visited the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Anaheim to make a surprise donation of toys. He also collaborated with U.S. Marines in Washington D.C. for a toy donation event benefiting Toys for Tots. Finally, in Orlando, Florida, Mickey made a special visit to Give Kids The World Village, a nonprofit supporting critically ill children and their families, before participating in a finale celebration at Walt Disney World with Toys for Tots and Disney VoluntEARS.
