Monster Energy has announced the officially qualified team for the Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games, competing in Skateboard, BMX, Surf, and Breaking disciplines. The team consists of 29 athletes from 11 countries, including defending Olympic medalists and top qualifiers from recent events.
The Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games will take place from July 26 to August 11, featuring around 10,500 athletes from 206 National Olympic Committees competing in 329 events. This edition of the Games will focus on achieving numerical gender parity, ensuring equal representation of male and female athletes.
Key Monster Energy athletes to watch include Kelvin Hoefler, Nyjah Huston, Aurelien Giraud, Giovanni Vianna, Matt Berger, Jhancarlos Gonzalez, and Mauro Iglesias in Men’s Skateboard Street. The Men’s Skateboard Street final will be broadcast on July 27 at 11:00 a.m. ET. In Women’s Skateboard Street, notable competitors are Rayssa Leal, Liz Akama, Jazmin Alvarez, and Haylie Powell. The Women’s Skateboard Street final will air on July 28 at 11:00 a.m. ET.
In Men’s Skateboard Park, Tom Schaar and Kieran Woolley are the top contenders. The final will be broadcast on August 7 at 11:30 a.m. ET. For Women’s Skateboard Park, Cocona Hiraki, Arisa Trew, Ruby Lilley, and Isadora Pacheco are the athletes to watch. The final will be held on August 6 at 11:30 a.m. ET.
In Men’s BMX Freestyle, Anthony JeanJean, Jose Torres, Justin Dowell, and Gustavo Batista de Oliveira are the key competitors. The Men’s BMX Freestyle final will be broadcast on July 31 at 7:10 a.m. ET. In Women’s BMX Freestyle, Kim Lea Mueller and Macarena Perez Grasset are the top athletes. Their final will also be on July 31 at 7:10 a.m. ET.
Surfing will feature athletes like Filipe Toledo, Ethan Ewing, Al Cleland Jr, and Gabriel Medina. The Men’s Surf finals will take place on July 30.
Breaking will make its Olympic debut with USA’s Bboy Jeffro and Japan’s Bgirl Ayumi representing Monster Energy. The B-Girls Medal Battles will begin on August 9 at 3:14 p.m. ET, and the B-Boys Medal Battles on August 10 at the same time.
