Monster Energy has announced a collaboration with the character Venom and helmet manufacturer HJC Helmets, set to debut at the Thailand Grand Prix. MotoGP rider Fabio Quartararo will be showcasing his new helmet, which draws inspiration from Venom, a character from Marvel Comics, during the race at the Chang International Circuit.
The helmet, an HJC RPHA-1 model, was designed and hand-painted in Italy by Starline Designers. It features Venom’s characteristic elements, including a toothed grin and a snake-like tongue, rendered in a glossy finish that contrasts with a matte black base. The design process involved creating three helmet prototypes to ensure Quartararo remained race-ready.
Additional design elements include Quartararo’s race number “#20” integrated with Venom’s tongue at the back of the helmet, as well as Monster Energy’s M-Claw logo in a glowing green color. Fans will have the opportunity to engage with the helmet design through a new Instagram filter and will be able to purchase a retail version from HJC in December for $649.
This collaboration follows a previous partnership between Venom: The Last Dance and Monster Energy, which featured a branded content piece with artist Busta Rhymes and actor Tom Hardy portraying Venom/Eddie Brock. The content piece, which includes appearances of tentacles and Monster Energy products, has been released on Monster’s YouTube channel.
Dan McHugh, Global Chief Marketing Officer at Monster Energy, stated that the collaboration with Venom aligns with the brand’s image. The partnership will be highlighted during the Thailand Grand Prix, where qualifying is scheduled to begin on Friday at 11:50 PM EST. Additionally, Sony Pictures’ Venom: The Last Dance is currently available in theaters.
