The launch includes an exclusive coconut caramel variety developed in partnership with Girl Scouts, alongside the brand’s established milk and dark chocolate offerings. Manufactured in the United States using Fairtrade certified cocoa, Muddy Bites seeks to broaden its retail presence and reach new consumers through this expansion.
Since its debut, Muddy Bites has focused on transforming the classic sundae cone into a bite-sized treat. The company reports that sales have nearly doubled over the past two years, driven by growing demand for convenient and nostalgic snack options. The product’s combination of a crisp waffle shell and creamy chocolate filling has attracted a dedicated following.
Steph Paras, chief executive officer of Muddy Bites, commented that the introduction of a Whole Foods Market–exclusive flavor aligns with the company’s goal of delivering quality and responsible sourcing. She noted that the coconut caramel variant represents “our commitment to simple, delicious innovation” and reinforces the brand’s mission to provide ethically produced snacks.
In addition to Whole Foods Market, Muddy Bites are available at major retailers including Costco, Walmart, Kroger and 7-Eleven. The expanded distribution network follows the brand’s rapid growth and underscores its strategy to disrupt the snack category with products that blend premium ingredients and inventive flavor combinations. Retailers and consumers will be able to sample the new coconut caramel flavor in stores beginning in May 2025.
