Museum of Ice Cream (MOIC) is returning to Miami with a new permanent location at Miami Worldcenter in Downtown Miami, opening on September 6. Tickets are now available for purchase online. This immersive, multi-sensory museum combines interactive exhibits with a playground-like atmosphere, offering a unique experience inspired by ice cream.
Spanning 14,000 square feet over two floors, the new Miami location is designed to celebrate the city’s vibrant culture, international spirit, and hospitality. Highlights of the museum include a retro ‘Cream Liner’, a 60’s inspired luxury airplane-themed exhibit, and ‘A Grand Hall of Freezers’ with mysterious doors leading to various surprises and treats. Visitors can also enjoy a double helix slide that descends into the museum’s famous sprinkle pool, a nod to the iconic Versace Mansion.
The museum has partnered with International Flavors and Fragrances to create a multi-sensory tasting experience, featuring flavors that represent Miami’s tropical character. Local creamery Azucar Ice Cream will offer new flavors, and the museum will serve Cosmic Bliss’s coconut-based soft serve.
MOIC Miami caters to both children and adults. Adults can enjoy ice cream-themed cocktails, play in various exhibits, and indulge in unlimited ice cream, providing a nostalgic and playful experience. The museum aims to inspire imagination and help guests reconnect with their inner child.
Maryellis Bunn, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Museum of Ice Cream, expressed excitement about the new permanent location, emphasizing the opportunity to push the boundaries of design and interactivity. The Miami location incorporates sensory elements of taste, touch, and smell throughout its exhibits. Manish Vora, Co-Founder and Co-CEO, highlighted the support from the city and the strategic placement of the museum at Miami Worldcenter, positioning it as a global arts destination.
Nitin Motwani, Managing Partner of Miami Worldcenter Associates, and Shaul Kuba, Co-Founder and Principal of CIM Group, expressed their enthusiasm for the museum’s contribution to Miami’s cultural landscape and its appeal to locals, visitors, and families.
With existing locations in New York City, Austin, Chicago, Singapore, and an upcoming opening in Boston, Museum of Ice Cream continues its mission to spread joy and connection through the love of ice cream.
