Corner Bakery Cafe is launching a new lineup of handcrafted sandwiches on April 22 at locations nationwide, featuring the return of the fan-favorite DC Chicken Salad Sandwich and three new creations. The brand, known for its in-cafe baked breads and made-from-scratch recipes, says the additions reflect its continued focus on quality and flavor.
Returning to the menu, the DC Chicken Salad Sandwich includes chicken breast with celery, green apple, red onion, dried currants, and toasted almonds, all mixed in a tangy dressing and served on a new flaky round croissant with lettuce and tomato. Priced at $9.99, it’s positioned as a light yet satisfying option.
To celebrate its return, Corner Bakery will offer a free DC Chicken Salad Sandwich, chips, and a drink to all administrative professionals who visit participating locations on Tuesday, April 23, in honor of National Administrative Professionals Day.
The new lineup also includes three additional sandwiches developed by Corner Bakery’s Chef, Becky Foulk. The Pretzel Sandwich features ham or turkey, cheddar, apples, field greens, and a mustard mayo finished with hot honey on a soft pretzel bun. The Roast Beef & Blue Sandwich pairs roast beef with blue cheese spread, arugula, and caramelized balsamic onions on a Dutch Crunch roll. Lastly, the Ham or Turkey & Swiss Breakfast Croissant offers a sweet and spicy take on a breakfast sandwich, served on a new croissant and with the option to add an egg.
All sandwiches are made with freshly baked bread and paired with options like soup, salad, or seasonal fruit. The launch marks a new phase for the brand as it blends innovation with long-standing bakery traditions.
Corner Bakery leadership says the new offerings aim to appeal to returning customers and first-time guests alike, with recipes that reflect the brand’s 34-year heritage while introducing fresh flavor combinations.
