Honey Bunches of Oats has introduced a new cereal called Honey Bunches of Oats Chocolate, marking the first permanent addition to their cereal lineup in five years. This new product features real chocolate and cocoa, incorporating crispy sweet-cocoa dusted flakes, chocolate granola, and chocolate chips in each cluster.
To promote the launch, the brand has partnered with Dominique Ansel, a recognized pastry chef known for creating the Cronut. Ansel has developed two recipes that utilize Honey Bunches of Oats Chocolate cereal, encouraging consumers to either recreate these dishes or enjoy the cereal on its own.
The first recipe is Honey Bunches of Oats Chocolate Crispy “Fries” paired with a chocolate milkshake. This dish combines crispy fries coated in the cereal with a milkshake that has a cereal rim. The second recipe is a chocolate variation of traditional baklava, featuring layers of phyllo dough, honey syrup, chocolate cereal clusters, and sliced almonds.
Dominique Ansel expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, noting the nostalgic value of cereal as a simple and satisfying snack. Erin Crawford, Senior Brand Manager for Honey Bunches of Oats, emphasized the brand’s commitment to providing flavorful options for consumers.
Honey Bunches of Oats Chocolate is now available at retailers across the country.
