LG Electronics USA unveiled a new series of 27-inch commercial top-load washers built on its Inverter Direct Drive motor, showing the models this week at The Clean Show. The company, which says it is the fastest-growing appliance player in the U.S. commercial laundry market, is positioning the additions as part of a broader 2025 lineup focused on efficiency, durability, and ease of service for high-demand environments.
The new coin and card operated top-loaders extend LG’s AI driven precision washing technologies and include a 5-year limited warranty on the direct-drive system. LG cites features intended to reduce downtime and operating costs, including the Gyro Balancing System with a 3D sensor to limit motion, vibration, and noise, fast cycle times with rapid spin initiation, and a front access design for most servicing without disassembly.
LG says the 2025 U.S. commercial lineup spans top-load and front-load washers, dryers, and combo units for multi-family housing, student dormitories, laundromats, and more. The machines are available now through providers including CSC ServiceWorks, WASH, and EVI. “With LG’s reputation for quality, these new top-load washers, as well as their front-load cousins and companion dryers, are well positioned to serve the dynamic U.S. vended market,” said Sam Kim, president of appliance solutions at LG Electronics USA.
As part of its connected services push, LG introduced Laundry Crew 3.0, an interface that links store managers and end users for real-time product monitoring and coordinated support. The company also highlighted partner Rinse, a laundry and dry-cleaning delivery service, which joined LG on the show floor to explore expanded solutions for customers and operators.
Looking ahead, LG previewed the “LG Professional Laundry” line targeted for 2026, a larger series aimed at hotels and hospitals. The company says new balancing technology will enable the drum to spin stably at up to 1,100 RPM, improving water extraction and shortening cycle times. LG framed the roadmap as an effort to pair advanced engineering with smart connectivity to cut cycle times and operating costs for B2B partners.
