Two well-known brands from Ohio, Graeter’s Ice Cream and Skyline Chili, have announced a collaboration to introduce a new ice cream flavor called Graeter’s Skyline Spice Ice Cream. Graeter’s is recognized as America’s oldest family-owned craft ice cream maker, while Skyline Chili is famous for its Cincinnati-style chili, particularly its Cheese Coneys and Ways. This limited-edition flavor will be available for nationwide orders online starting January 24 and will be offered in stores beginning January 27, coinciding with the winter chili season and upcoming sporting events.
The new flavor features Graeter’s handcrafted French Pot ice cream combined with oyster crackers and Skyline’s signature chili spice mix. Richard Graeter, the fourth-generation president and CEO of Graeter’s, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, noting the positive response from fans and the effort taken to perfect the recipe. Dick Williams, chairman and CEO of Skyline Chili, emphasized the significance of this dessert collaboration for the brand.
Graeter’s Skyline Spice Ice Cream is intended to be a distinctive option for game day snacks, combining sweet and savory elements. The ice cream will be available in 5oz scoops at Skyline restaurants, in pints and by the scoop at Graeter’s scoop shops, and in select Kroger locations across Cincinnati, Columbus, Indianapolis, and Louisville. Additionally, consumers can order the ice cream online through Graeter’s website, allowing fans nationwide to enjoy this unique flavor at their gatherings.
