Nightingale Ice Cream Sandwiches, a women- and veteran-owned business known for its chef-inspired ice cream sandwiches, is set to expand its retail presence significantly. Starting in January 2025, these products will be available at Kroger supermarkets and associated grocery banners throughout the United States. This distribution marks a notable milestone for the company, which has gained attention on social media platforms, particularly TikTok.
The company offers premium handcrafted frozen treats, now accessible in over 2,400 Kroger locations. Nightingale’s ice cream sandwiches are characterized by their high-quality ingredients, including 14% butterfat ice cream, freshly baked cookies, homemade inclusions, and all-natural, nut-free components. This approach aims to elevate the standard of frozen desserts.
The brand was founded by sous chef Hannah Pollack and her husband, chef Xavier Meers, who merged European culinary traditions with Southern influences to develop their unique ice cream sandwiches.
At Kroger, customers will find a selection of Nightingale’s ice cream sandwiches available in a four-pack format, featuring five flavors: Chocolate Blackout, Cookie Monster, Strawberry Shortcake, Banana Pudding, and Mocha Brownie. The Banana Pudding flavor is exclusive to Kroger stores.
Pollack expressed her personal connection to Kroger, noting its significance in her upbringing in Virginia and emphasizing the importance of making their handcrafted desserts available to a wider audience.
