North Shore Animal League America has officially launched its 31st annual Global Pet Adoptathon, a month-long initiative aimed at finding permanent homes for thousands of rescue animals. Running throughout May, the campaign is supported by more than 2,000 national and international shelter partners and is sponsored by Swiffer, with additional support from Nutrish.
As the world’s largest no-kill animal rescue and adoption organization, North Shore Animal League America works alongside a broad network of shelters and municipal animal care agencies to promote adoption as the first choice for those looking to bring a pet into their home. The initiative covers dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens of various ages and breeds, with adoption events and promotions happening in communities across the country.
Participating shelters are offering adoption specials and events tailored to their local communities. At select adoption centers, new pet owners will receive Swiffer Sweeper and Duster Starter Kits to help manage the everyday messes that come with pet ownership.
The campaign’s core message centers on the organization’s mission to Rescue, Nurture, Adopt, and Educate. With the support of brands like Swiffer, the initiative continues to raise awareness about the value of adopting pets and the shared responsibility of providing them with safe, loving homes.
