Omni Hotels & Resorts is introducing a seasonal pop-up, Blitzen’s Bar, to bring holiday-themed cocktails and decor to select locations. Designed in collaboration with Julie Reiner, an acclaimed mixologist and judge on Netflix’s Drink Masters, Blitzen’s Bar will offer guests a holiday experience from November 15 through December 30 at 13 Omni properties, including locations in New York City, Los Angeles, Dallas, and Boston.
Blitzen’s Bar will feature a holiday-inspired decor theme, creating a festive ambiance with neon signs, leg lamps, hanging tinsel, and vibrant holiday ornaments. Guests can enjoy the extensive seasonal cocktail menu developed by Reiner, known for her work with iconic New York City bars. The menu includes 12 cocktails, with two non-alcoholic options, crafted around holiday flavors such as rosemary, cranberry, pumpkin, and apple. Notable drinks include “The Blitzen,” a twist on a rum Negroni; “Frost Bite,” a festive Pina Colada; and “Tidings of Whiskey & Joy,” inspired by the New York Sour. Each cocktail will be topped with unique garnishes, such as gingerbread cookies and toasted coconut “snow,” adding to the seasonal appeal.
The food menu includes themed items like “Reindeer Nuggets” (marinated olives), “Ralphie’s Nibbles” (pretzel bites with maple mustard), and “Popcorn Garlands” (truffle and parmesan popcorn). Desserts include “Blizzard Bark,” a mix of white and milk chocolate with coconut, pistachio, ginger, and cranberries, as well as an assortment of holiday cookies. Each food item is curated to complement the cocktails, though offerings may vary by location.
Julie Reiner, who has opened several celebrated bars and published The Craft Cocktail Party, sees Blitzen’s Bar as an opportunity to bring distinctive holiday flavors and festive cocktail experiences to a new audience. According to Kerry Hamilton, Vice President of Food & Beverage at Omni, the goal is to provide a setting where guests can make seasonal memories with loved ones.
