Ooni is leveling up indoor pizza night with the Volt 2 Electric Pizza Oven, a re-engineered follow-up to the Volt 12 that focuses on tighter temperature control, easier presets, and a smaller footprint. The headline feature is Pizza Intelligence, a patent-pending system that reads cooking conditions in real time and automatically shifts power and heat distribution. Three preset pizza modes and a separate dough-proofing mode aim to remove guesswork, while custom presets let users save favorite settings.

Volt 2 spans 70 to 850 °F, doubling a typical home oven’s range. Ooni says redesigned elements now cover the full stone for steadier heat, fewer scorched bases, and more consistent results from beginners to pros. The unit is 30% smaller than the Volt 12 yet fits pizzas up to 13 inches and reaches 850 °F in about 20 minutes, producing Neapolitan pies in as little as 90 seconds.

New quality-of-life touches include a multi-purpose oven shelf for toasting or as a cooling rack to keep crusts crisp, an integrated steam and smoke filter for fresher kitchen air, and an edge-to-edge 4 mm tempered glass window for a panoramic view while baking. Founder and Co-CEO Kristian Tapaninaho said the redesign centers on performance, versatility, and convenience in a more compact form at a more accessible price point.
