OtterBox has added two protective case options to its range for Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7. The Defender Series Pro XT with Magnets is designed for the Fold7 and, according to the company, endures drops at four times the military durability standard. The case incorporates rubberized edges to improve grip, port covers to keep dust and debris out, and a reinforced hinge structure that moves with the phone’s folding mechanism. Integrated magnets align with Samsung’s wireless charging system and support up to 15-watt fast charging. The Defender Series Pro XT will be offered in black and sagebrush finishes.
For the Flip7, OtterBox introduced the Thin Flex Series, a slim two-piece enclosure that snaps onto the phone. The form-fitting shell adds extra material at the corners and features slightly raised edges around the screen and camera lenses to help prevent damage from contact with hard surfaces. The company states that the case maintains full access to all buttons, ports, and folding functions while guarding against scratches and minor impacts.
Chief Executive Officer Trey Northrup said the new products aim to match the foldable devices’ distinctive designs while providing protection consistent with the brand’s existing lineup. Pricing and retail availability were not disclosed, but both cases are expected to be sold through the OtterBox website and selected retailers alongside the phones’ market release.
