OtterBox has announced the release of its new Lumen Series and Figura Series cases designed for the iPhone 16 lineup, featuring support for Apple’s latest Camera Control feature. These cases are available exclusively through Apple retail stores, apple.com, and otterbox.com.
The Lumen Series offers a minimalist design with OtterBox’s well-known protective features. The case supports MagSafe and the Camera Control feature by using a sapphire crystal and conductive layer to allow users to control their camera with finger movements. The case features a clear back with a colored bumper and a metallic MagSafe ring. It is available in four color options inspired by birds: Mallard teal, Rosefinch pink, Grackle black, and Macaw blue. In addition to its aesthetic design, the Lumen Series provides drop protection that meets 3X the military standard (MIL-STD-810G 516.6).
The Figura Series brings a different visual appeal, inspired by the Northern and Southern Lights. The case is made from soft-touch material and is available in four color-saturated designs. Like the Lumen Series, Figura also offers military-standard drop protection and supports MagSafe. The case is precision-designed for seamless interaction with Camera Control. OtterBox graphic illustrator Samantha Fowler, who designed the Figura Series, explained that the creation process involved experimenting with how colors flowed together to reflect the movement of aurora borealis. The cases feature a unique hydro dipping process, giving each one an individual design.
Both series provide protection and functionality while maintaining compatibility with Apple’s MagSafe system and Camera Control for iPhone 16.
