OtterBusiness has announced the launch of the OtterBox Wireless Power Bank with MagSafe, a new product designed for use in hazardous environments. This portable charging solution is the first UL Solutions certified power bank for hazardous locations and is compatible with the OtterBusiness Defender Series Division 2 iPhone cases. The product is engineered to enhance safety, communication, and productivity in manufacturing and energy work environments.
The Wireless Power Bank with MagSafe allows workers to charge their iPhones on the go, offering 5K mAh of power with no open ports, reducing the risk of sparks in hazardous locations. Its durable design includes IP67 water and dust resistance and a 4-foot drop protection rating. The power bank can be attached to iPhones via MagSafe technology, providing seamless charging while in the field.
OtterBusiness CEO Trey Northrup emphasized the product’s impact on worker efficiency and safety, noting that it enables connected workers to recharge devices in hazardous environments without compromising safety. The power bank is certified for use in various hazardous locations, including Class I, Division 2, Groups A, B, C, and D, as well as Class II and III environments.
The power bank also features LED indicators to show battery life, and it can be charged alongside an iPhone when connected to a MagSafe power source. A secure clip ensures it remains attached to the case during use.
