Pacsun is bringing back McDonaldland with a fashion-forward twist. The retailer will release an exclusive Pacsun x McDonaldland collection on August 12, translating the fast-food icon’s whimsical universe into apparel and accessories for men and women. The collaboration, facilitated by IMG Licensing, arrives alongside the limited-edition McDonaldland Meal and extends the brand’s nostalgia play into stores, social, and live events.
Designed as collectible streetwear, the women’s lineup spans zip-up hoodies, sweatpants, mini shorts, and baby tees, plus barrettes, claw clips, scrunchies, and totes. Graphics draw from the archive—think Grimace, the Hamburglar, and sun-splashed fantasy landscapes—reimagined with contemporary color and fit. The men’s range leans into souvenir aesthetics with oversized tees, heavyweight hoodies, denim jackets and shorts, and corduroy hats that nod to fictional locales like Fry Friends Field, Apple Pie Orchards, and Mt. McDonaldland. A run of cross-category accessories, including snapbacks, bucket hats, high socks, license plate frames, rugs, a knit blanket, and a doormat, rounds out the drop.
Pacsun says materials and construction are meant to feel premium while staying faithful to McDonaldland’s buoyant charm. The women’s assortment will be offered in sizes XXS through XXL, with prices starting at 10 dollars and topping out at 80 dollars. The brand frames the project as a bridge between core childhood memories and modern self-expression, tapping a generation that grew up with the characters and now shops for culture-led apparel.
“As the go-to destination for on-trend fashion and collaborations, Pacsun is always looking for ways to bring culture and creativity to our community with unique brand partners,” said Richard Cox, chief merchandising officer at Pacsun. “This collaboration with McDonald’s allowed us to tap into a shared history of nostalgia and joy, reimagined through a fashion lens.”
The campaign will surface across marquee touchpoints. Pacsun will tease pieces at ThriftCon in Denver on August 9–10, feature the collection within the McDonald’s app on launch day, and host an in-store event at its Soho flagship on August 14. As part of the digital rollout, McDonald’s loyalty members will be able to redeem points for Pacsun discounts, reinforcing the brands’ cross-channel push. Expect cheeky slogans—“Mentally I’m in McDonaldland,” “Mayor McCheese is my homeboy,” and “We’re all Fry Friends at heart”—to anchor the visuals and copy, with seventies color palettes and typography carrying the retro thread.
The Pacsun x McDonaldland collection will be available August 12 online and in Pacsun stores nationwide.
