Panasonic has introduced the new LUMIX S 26mm F8 (S-R26) lens, which is designed to complement the new LUMIX S9 camera body. The lens is noted for its compact and lightweight design, while still delivering the high resolution and superior image quality that LUMIX is known for.
The LUMIX S 26mm F8 lens features a 26mm focal length, a fixed aperture of F8, and manual focus only. This pancake lens is ideal for those who enjoy manual shooting, offering unique results and creative possibilities in composition and exposure. It is designed for spontaneous photography, providing a lightweight and portable option that fits easily into a pocket. The lens measures approximately 18.1mm in length and weighs about 58 grams.
Key features of the LUMIX S 26mm F8 lens include its wide-angle capability, fixed F-stop of F8, and manual focus, which allows photographers to have full control over their shots. The lens does not support external filters and some autofocus and manual focus assist functions of the camera cannot be used with this lens. It is designed to match the compact body of the LUMIX S9.

In addition, Panasonic has announced the upcoming release of the LUMIX S 18-40mm F4.5-6.3 lens. This versatile zoom lens is compact and ideal for everyday use, with a focal length range from an ultra-wide 18mm to a semi-standard 40mm. It has a minimum shooting distance of 0.15 meters and is designed to match the LUMIX S9 camera.
