poppi, a modern soda brand, has announced a partnership with A Minecraft Movie, marking its first collaboration with a film. This partnership aims to connect the brand with both gamers and movie-goers as A Minecraft Movie, based on the best-selling video game, prepares for its theatrical release.
The collaboration is part of poppi’s “Soda Thoughts” campaign, which seeks to enhance significant soda moments throughout the year. The film is anticipated to appeal to audiences of all ages by merging gaming with cinema. This partnership is seen as an opportunity for poppi to engage with a broader audience while promoting its prebiotic soda.
As part of the collaboration, poppi will release limited-edition 4-packs featuring core flavors such as Strawberry Lemon, Lemon Lime, Cherry Limeade, and Orange. These packs will showcase characters from the film, including the Creeper, Bee, Sheep, and Dennis the Wolf. The designs reflect the pixelated aesthetic of Minecraft, which will be visually represented in the movie, scheduled for release in theaters and IMAX on April 4.
The 4-packs will also be used to create cubic retail displays in major retailers including Walmart, Target, and Kroger, available for a limited time until April, priced at $8.99 per pack. Consumers who purchase four 4-packs in a single transaction can upload their receipt to Fandango to receive a $15 movie reward for A Minecraft Movie.
