The American Red Cross is bringing back its viral Red Cross x Peanuts limited-edition T-shirts as mystery gifts for blood donors, this time to mark the 75th anniversary of Peanuts. From Aug. 29 to Sept. 21, donors who give blood will receive a mystery bag containing one of four exclusive designs, while supplies last. Donors will not know which shirt they get until they open the bag.

The organization framed the promotion as a thank-you for lifesaving donations and a nod to Peanuts’ long-running themes of kindness and community. “These shirts became a sensation the first time around, and with Peanuts marking 75 years of heart and humor, it’s the perfect moment to bring them back,” said Darren Irby, executive director of national brand partnerships for the American Red Cross.

Appointments can be scheduled at RedCrossBlood.org, by calling 1-800-RED CROSS (800-733-2767), or through the Red Cross Blood Donor App. The Red Cross noted that a 2023 collaboration featuring the message “Be Cool. Donate Blood” helped mobilize new donors, citing 14,000 first-time donors and a 40 percent increase in appointments in the first week of that campaign, with 75 percent of donors under age 34.
