Reebok has recently unveiled “Reebok Impact,” a custom AI fashion initiative on Instagram, aimed at redefining sneaker culture through technology. This new platform allows users to transform their photographic memories into personalized digital sneakers by utilizing the Futureverse AI to craft footwear in real-time via Instagram DMs to @reebokimpact. Customers can select from iconic models like the Reebok Pump, Classic Leather, or Club C and customize them with AI-generated designs. Unique to this offering, the photo memories provided by users are embedded into the sole of their digital sneakers, symbolically linking the ‘soul’ of their memories to the soles of the shoes.
This service is available at no cost for the creation of up to four digital sneakers. Once created, these sneakers can be shared or purchased as game-ready files compatible with platforms like Unreal Editor for Fortnite, Roblox, and other virtual experiences, including the upcoming AAA MMO game “OPEN,” developed by the creators of “Ready Player One.”
Todd Krinsky, CEO of Reebok, expressed enthusiasm about this milestone in merging fashion with cutting-edge technology. The initiative is expected to expand Reebok’s digital footprint and connect with a broader audience by leveraging the capabilities of AI in fashion design.
Shara Senderoff and Aaron McDonald, Co-Founders of Futureverse, emphasized that this collaboration with Reebok is just the beginning of a series of innovative digital fashion experiences. They aim to blend personal expression with artistic creativity, simplifying the design process for sneaker enthusiasts.
“Reebok Impact” also hints at future plans to integrate these virtual creations with physical products, offering incentives for real-life sneaker purchases within the digital experience. This project represents a significant step in the ongoing partnership between Futureverse and Reebok, which focuses on exploring the potential of AI, web3, and blockchain technologies in fashion and gaming.
