REI Co-op is celebrating summer with a major sale designed to kickstart outdoor adventures. The retailer’s Fourth of July sale and clearance event offers up to 40% off on clearance items. The sale is available to everyone, with special deals for co-op members, and runs through July 4 both in-store and online at REI.com.
Pardis Ghorbani, REI vice president of marketing, emphasized the event’s value in helping people enjoy outdoor activities with quality gear. The sale includes discounts on top outdoor brands and features deals such as 40% off clearance clothing and footwear, 30% off all REI Co-op brand tents and accessories, 15% off watercraft from various brands, 30% off REI Co-op brand Traverse packs and trekking poles, 40% off Big Agnes Copper Spur tents and footprints, 40% off The North Face tents and sleeping bags, and 25% off climbing gear from Petzl and Metolius.
REI Co-op members enjoy additional savings, including 20% off one full-priced YETI cooler, $20 off purchases of $100 or more at REI Outlet from June 30 to July 4, and 20% off select REI adventure travel trips in 2024 and 2025 when booked from June 14 to July 4.
The summer sale is an ideal time for individuals to become lifetime members of the co-op. For a one-time fee of $30, lifetime membership offers access to REI’s used gear and apparel program Re/Supply, discounts on shop services and experiences, and an annual Co-op Member Reward based on eligible purchases. Additional member benefits include a free tube with flat tire repair purchase (Co-op Cycles brand tubes only) and free machine wax for skis or boards.
