Royal Caribbean International will revamp three of its mid-sized ships—Ovation, Harmony, and Liberty of the Seas—in time for spring 2026, expanding the line’s fleet-wide “Royal Amplified” modernization program. Bookings for the updated vessels opened today on the company’s website.
Ovation of the Seas will receive a redesigned pool deck with private casitas and a whirlpool, new dining such as Giovanni’s Italian Kitchen and Izumi Teppanyaki, plus an expanded Casino Royale. A debuting Pesky Parrot tiki bar and the Sound Cellar nightclub add to the nightlife, while new accommodations include the two-level Ultimate Family Suite. After the refit, the ship will return to Alaska for seven- to 13-night itineraries and add multi-night land tours.
Harmony of the Seas is slated for a Caribbean-themed pool deck featuring the Lime & Coconut bar and an upgraded adults-only solarium. Additional eateries—Playmakers Sports Bar & Arcade, El Loco Fresh, and a Samba Grill Brazilian steakhouse—will push the vessel’s total dining options past 20. Harmony will spend summer 2026 in Europe before relocating to Port Canaveral, Florida, for five- and seven-night Caribbean sailings that include Perfect Day at CocoCay and the forthcoming Royal Beach Club Paradise Island.
Liberty of the Seas will gain an overhauled pool deck, a Lime & Coconut bar, and the line’s newest Royal Escape Room. New venues include Izumi Teppanyaki, El Loco Fresh, and a Starbucks outlet. Liberty will sail seven-night cruises from Southampton to the Norwegian fjords and Northern Europe, then reposition to Galveston, Texas, for Western Caribbean itineraries and calls at the planned Royal Beach Club Cozumel.
Royal Caribbean’s modernization push follows the recent overhaul of Allure of the Seas and precedes four additional newbuilds and several private-destination projects scheduled through 2027.
