Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America (SIICA) is pleased to announce that its Sharp Business Systems’ (SBS) South Carolina branch has been named one of the Best Places to Work in South Carolina. This recognition highlights the branch’s efficient employment and training practices, competitive pay and benefits, and excellent corporate culture and work-life balance.
The Best Places to Work in South Carolina program, now in its eighteenth year, is conducted in partnership with Best Companies Group. The program aims to identify, recognize, and honor the best employers in the state, thereby benefiting South Carolina’s economy, workforce, and businesses. This year’s list includes 108 companies.
Tommy Pickens, Branch General Manager of SBS South Carolina, expressed pride in the recognition, attributing it to the dedication of the team. “This recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our incredible team who strive every day to create a welcoming and innovative environment while always putting our customers’ needs first,” he said. “Our commitment to fostering a culture of collaboration, respect, and continuous learning is what makes Sharp not just a workplace, but a community where everyone can thrive and succeed. We are proud to set the standard for excellence and will continue to push the boundaries of what it means to be one of the best places to work in the state.”
The Best Places to Work in South Carolina selection process involves a two-part survey. The first part evaluates each company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems, and demographics. The second part consists of an employee survey to assess the employee experience. The combined scores determine the top companies and the final ranking.
The rankings will be published online in August, and the recognized companies will be honored at an in-person awards ceremony on August 22, 2024, at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center. Additionally, the rankings will be featured in the September issues of Charleston Regional Business Journal, Columbia Regional Business Report, and GSA Business Report.
