Houston-based Shipley Do-Nuts has added a new item to its Egg & Cheese kolache lineup with the introduction of Bacon, Egg & Cheese kolaches, available for a limited time through December 31. The kolaches are made with scrambled eggs, applewood-smoked bacon, and melted American cheese, all baked inside fresh, golden dough. Priced at $3.49, this new addition to Shipley’s menu is designed to be a convenient, protein-packed breakfast option.
According to Shipley CEO Flynn Dekker, the Egg & Cheese kolaches have become the most successful product launch in the company’s history, prompting their addition to the permanent menu. He also noted that product innovation has played a key role in the brand’s recent growth, with more permanent and limited-time offerings expected in the future.
Shipley Do-Nuts, which marked its 88th anniversary this year, first introduced kolaches to its menu in 1995. The brand offers a variety of other kolache options, including Ham & Cheese, Sausage, Sausage & Cheese, and Sausage, Cheese & Jalapeno. Executive Chef Kaitlyn Venable emphasized the potential for further menu variety, with additional specialty items on the horizon.
