Tequila Works is currently developing Song of Nunu: A League of Legends Story, published by Riot Forge. The game features Nunu and Willump, characters from the League of Legends universe, as they embark on a journey through the Freljord, a region known for its icy and perilous terrain. The game focuses on the friendship between Nunu and Willump and incorporates various elements of the Freljord, including harsh weather and native wildlife.
Players will have the opportunity to engage in different activities such as hiking, climbing, and sledding to navigate through the landscape. Critical thinking will be essential for players as they solve challenges that arise in the frosty setting. Along their journey, players will encounter legendary champions from the League of Legends world, such as Braum, and uncover secrets hidden in the Freljord.
Rowan Parker, Creative Director at Riot Forge, highlighted the importance of the relationship between Nunu and Willump in the game’s narrative. Raúl Rubio Munárriz, CEO, Co-Founder, and CCO of Tequila Works, expressed gratitude for the creative freedom Riot Forge provided in character selection and story development.
Further details about the game, including its release date and a collector’s edition, are expected to be announced in Fall 2023.
