Sprinkles, the well-known dessert bakery, is expanding into the retail sector with the launch of its first consumer packaged goods (CPG) products. The company has introduced Sprinkles Chocolate Bars and Sprinkles Mini Chocolates, now available exclusively at over 4,000 Walmart stores across the nation. The product lineup features Chocolate Bars in four flavors—Red Velvet, Salted Caramel, Sprinkle, and Milk Chocolate—and Mini Chocolate Bites in Red Velvet and Salted Caramel.
These chocolate products, inspired by the bakery’s popular cupcake flavors, are crafted from Rain Forest Alliance certified chocolate. Initially introduced at Sprinkles bakery locations nationwide, these chocolates quickly became a customer favorite.
Dan Mesches, CEO of Sprinkles, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership with Walmart, the world’s largest retailer, noting the excitement of translating Sprinkles’ well-loved flavors into a new chocolate product line. Ashley Rogers, President & CEO of Sprinkles CPG, highlighted the innovation behind these premium chocolates, stating that they offer a fresh option in the candy aisle that is accessible to a wide range of consumers. Rogers also mentioned that chocolate remains a popular choice for snacking and expressed confidence that consumers will enjoy indulging in these new offerings.
The chocolate bars are sold individually wrapped at $3.98 each, while the mini assorted package is priced at $5.98. This launch marks a significant step for Sprinkles as it brings its distinctive flavors from the bakery to the retail shelf, aiming to capture the attention of chocolate lovers and snack enthusiasts nationwide.
