Star8 Corp., through its subsidiary TOMAHAWK SRL, has filed a patent application for a new hot water heating system known as the ZeroTANK System. This system is designed for the mass market, contrasting with the company’s Scarponi Motorcycles, which cater to a more niche audience. CEO Gianluca Scarponi stated, “Not everyone has the need for one of our Scarponi Motorcycles, but everyone has a need, and right to clean, hot water.”
The ZeroTANK System operates without a traditional storage tank, providing hot water on demand at a rate of 15 liters per minute at 40 degrees Celsius. In comparison to a conventional 120-liter boiler, the ZeroTANK System offers significant advantages. It requires less energy, has a faster heating time of 20 minutes, and eliminates standby heat losses. Additionally, it occupies 85% less space and is designed to be more hygienic by preventing water stagnation.
The system supports local and remote connectivity, allowing for monitoring and control via mobile applications. Optional features include an air-heating module and customizable RGB lighting systems. The product is currently undergoing testing and verification through a partnership with the University of L’Aquila.
Star8 Corp. is in discussions with a major European white goods manufacturer to license the ZeroTANK System for mass production and distribution. This initiative aligns with broader efforts to promote sustainable energy solutions, contributing to reduced carbon footprints in both transportation and industry.
